While originally announced quite some time ago, some new pictures of Creator's Labo's Shunya Yamashita inspired Asuka Langley have surfaced as the figure is about to be officially released.
I am a fan of Shunya Yamashita's artwork, and am happy whenever I hear that their is a figure being made based on his artwork, especially the recent Marvel stuff. While, there are quite a few people out there who aren't fans of Yamashita's rendition of Asuka, I think it is a nice change of pace to have something different from all the other billions of Asuka figures that have been released over the years.

As you can see, the quality and attention to detail is quite high, especially in the hair. The figure is scheduled to be released in November. Anyone going to be picking this figure up?
