Not long ago, it was reported that the Racing Miku Hatsune 2010 ver. was in fact not lost in the abyss, and was actually going to be released. Now, there are some delicious new pictures!
Considering that the outfit seems rathar simple, one may think that this is a very plain figure. On closer inspection however, it is actually pretty detailed. One of the key things one should take notice, is that the seams on her outfit are actually sculpted and not just painted on. All the tools she has in her tool belt are also amazingly detailed. The decals on her outfit are very clean and clear with no blurry lines or bleeding. The way her twin tails are swaying and the shading of the paint on them are very well done and something most people may not notice at first glance.

While there are quite a few people who have expressed displeasure with this design of Miku, I feel that having different variations of a loved character keeps them fresh, especially when it is a very popular character who has gotten countless figures of them done before. So long as it isn't a huge departure from the original design (although some feel this has been done with this figure) and keeps the main features and essence of the character, I am all for it. It isn't a drastic change such as say, the original Gen 1 Megatron to the Michael Bay Megatron. To me, this figure still says Miku Hatsune and I will be adding her to my collection for sure.
